Call for Peter Chapman Trust Committee Expressions of Interest

Chief and Council are looking to hear from members who are interested in joining the Peter Chapman Trust Committee. 

The Trust Committee will work with Chief and Council to support the responsible and sustainable management of the Peter Chapman Community Trust for the benefit of all band members on and off reserve and for the current and future generations.

The Committee is an advisory body, which means it will provide recommendations to Chief and Council.

Committee responsibilities will include: 

  • Working with membership to determine the priorities for the Community Benefits that willbe funded by the annual trust revenue

  • Reviewing the activities of the Trustee and Investment Manager

  • Supporting Chief and Council with the review of trust financial statements 

  • Reporting to and information-sharing with Chief and Council

  • Other duties as needed

Who is eligible? 

  • Members over the age of 18 (Youth members between 18-30 are encouraged to apply) 

  • On- and off-reserve members

  • Members who can commit to serving a 1-year term (this term is renewable annually by Chief and Council)

  • Previous committee experience and financial training may be helpful, but is not required
